Avani is a Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR) and Director of the Accountability Initiative (AI). The focus of her work has been in building evidence for policy advocacy to strengthen transparency and accountability in public financial management for service delivery. Her most recent research understands the implications of the 14th Finance Commission on social sector spending. As part of her work, she is leading research studies on health, sanitation, nutrition and education financing. She has also been anchoring the publication of the annual budget brief series and implementation of fund tracking surveys on key social sector schemes. Before Accountability Initiative, she worked at the Centre for Development and Human Rights (CDHR), with Dr. Arjun Sengupta, on issues of extreme poverty and the right to development. Avani has an M.Sc. in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, U.K and a B.A cum laude from Smith College, Massachusetts, USA.
Deepak Dogra holds nearly 13+ years experience in the Education sector. Deepak has worked extensively with Pratham, one of India’s largest and top education non-profits on various programs aimed at improving quality of education and increasing accountability in the sector through government and community involvement. With a background in management, development and leadership, and work experience across continents, Deepak lends a uniquely grounded perspective to evaluation. Deepak currently heads Operations of Room to Read, spread across eight states in India. Prior to Room to Read he worked with Global Partnership for Education (GPE) at The World Bank, where he was involved in evaluating education sector plans for Pakistan and Rwanda, creating early grade reading trackers for member countries and wrote extensively on the management and logistics of large scale early grade reading programs and results-based financing of education. Deepak holds a degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and an MBA from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He was Fulbright Nehru Leadership fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Renu is the founder of C3: Collaborate to Create Change, a collaborative model to scale up interventions to improve the learning outcomes in the government schools. In the past, Renu was leading the Changemaker Schools' program for South Asia for Ashoka- Innovators for the Public. She has a long and dedicated background in the development sector primarily focused towards the education of underprivileged children. Before Ashoka, she had founded a grass root organization for slum and street children in Kathmandu, Nepal with the aim of integrating these children in the mainstream society through education. The organization carried out a myriad of activities addressing socio-psycho-physical needs of the children. Before she moved into the development sector, she had a successful career in sales and marketing. She holds a Master degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. She has received the Vijaya Award 2015, highest award to an Alumni at Scindia Girls School, Gwalior, John Galbraith Policy Fellow 2014 at Harvard Kennedy School and EpicChange Global Woman 2011.

Sid is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an advocate in India. He studied at NLU Jodhpur graduating with a bachelors in law and business administration with a distinction. In addition to his day-to-day work, Sid lectures at various renowned universities in the UK and India (including Oxford and NLUs), and he is also the Co-Chair of NOTICED (which is UK's first inter-law firm diversity network focussing on multiculturalism, which comprises 11 top London city based law firms).
Swarnaleka is the Director - Bank Distribution ,Middle East at Zurich international. She has over 17 years of experience in the financial industry. In her current role , she is responsible for long term strategic exclusive partnerships with global banks in the middle east. Her excellent relationship management , negotiation and interpersonal skills are the key reasons for her success in the strategic partnership space. Prior to Zurich , Swarnaleka has served in various sales management roles with AIG , HSBC and Aviva. She is an experienced sales leader and certified sales coach and have led and developed sales team to achieve excellent results. In her role she coaches and mentors managers and help them manage their teams effectively. Swarnaleka holds a Bachelors in Computer science Engineering. She is an active member of the women’s innovation network at Zurich which focuses on helping colleagues to embrace diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
